The Research, Publications, and Linkages Office (RPLO) aspires to be a productive source of knowledge making it to be a truly significant contributor to the development of creative ideas and innovative changes relevant to the ever-changing socio-economic development.
Our Mission
Tasked to help promote quality and productive capacity of faculty and students in various disciplines, to undertake research projects/proposals that respond to the needs of the community, guided by the thrusts of the institution’s college research office. The RPLO is committed to:
- Encourage and develop faculty competence in technical writing.
- Undertake research initiative to support curricular enrichment and upgrade instructional system.
- Conduct development projects competitive not only in the regional and national but in global competition.
- Establish strong linkages and collaborative researches with the government agencies and other research institutions.
General Objectives
With reference to MC’s Vision and Mission of providing quality education through its proactive stance in research, the institution through the cooperation of faculty and staff shall strengthen its research program by producing tangible outcomes that will address local issues and global concerns.
The RPLO has the following thrusts:
- Support the endeavors of both the students and members of the faculty in conducting basic and applied researches in relation to their academic pursuit.
- Enhance and promote an academic environment that will expand and improve the research capacity of the faculty and students.
- Disseminate research information that enables others to utilize recent research findings.
- Initiate and facilitate research interest that will further improve the quality of instruction of all program areas offered by the institution.
- Collaborate with the government and non-government organizations, other research institutions and HEIs in their research endeavors.
Policies of RPLO
The RPLO has the following policies related to research:
- Every member of the academic community shall be encouraged to conduct research. Members of the academic community, with approved research proposal, shall be provided with the following administrative support:
a. Adequate financial support;
b. Adequate library resources and official endorsement to other
libraries;
c. Appropriate time for research activity. - All academic activities shall be based on the program thrusts and priority areas initiated by the institution and other funding institution.
- The RPLO shall be adequately staffed with competent and productive manpower.
Research Publication
The institution shall publish an annual Research Journal- MC Research Journal for the faculty researches and The Rudiments for the students’ researches. The materials to be published must be presented to the Director of RPLO for approval.
It aims to:
- Organize and operationalize the efficient management and institutional research.
- Focus RPLO towards the enhancement of the program that is within the competence that meets the needs of MC.
- Provide a systematic and continuing program of manpower development for RPLO through appropriate in-service education and incentives such as awards, scholarships, travel grants and others.
- Establish linkages and government and private agencies in the educational and industrial sectors for coordination, mutual benefit and support.
MC’s Research Agenda
The Meycauayan College Research Agenda is based on priority thrusts as reflected in the NHERA – 2 (2009-2018).

Outreach program, feeding and nutrition, industry and livelihood, awareness program.

Criminology. - Program/curricular studies on higher education
including assessment of present programs/curricula for purposes of determining how these could be improved/reengineered as well as international benchmarking of best practices towards the development of new programs/curricula in leading edge disciplines - Policy oriented studies – research on the various dimensions of policy formulation, implementation, monitoring and e valuation focusing on but not limited to the following:
