In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Meycauayan College (MC) recently celebrated its annual Institutional Thanksgiving Day last November 16 at the Meycauayan College Main Campus.

Each department came together to give back to their respective adopted communities with loads of offerings from essential items like old clothes and groceries to fun things like old toys and books.

The day continued with the teaching and non-teaching personnel showcasing their talents in lively dance performances, turning the campus into a vibrant stage of celebration that also brought smiles to the faces of students, faculty, staff, administrators, guests, and community members alike.

Amidst the joyous festivities, an institutional Boodle fight lunch took center stage with MCian employees and students sharing the table of food with spirited hearts. Long tables were adorned with a variety of local dishes, inviting everyone to partake in the communal feast. Laughter and conversations flowed freely, creating a sense of togetherness that extended beyond the classrooms and into the heart of the community.

As the sun began to set, the festivities continued with a Weenie Roast party. The crackling flames in each grill provided a warm backdrop for students to share stories, forge connections, and bask in the collective spirit of gratitude while roasting local favorites like barbeques, isaw, hotdogs, and even saging na saba, while music from talented home-grown artists and more spectacular dance performances from student leaders and students assistants kept the night ignited.

Through moments of fun, donations, shared meals, music and dance, and a weenie roast under the stars, MC continues to light the spirit of community and generosity that goes far beyond the classroom, leaving a lasting impact on hearts and minds.
