In a whimsical display of unity and cultural diversity, Meycauayan College recently hosted its First Fiesta Sayawan sa MC last December 8, 2023 at the Meycauayan College Annex Gymnasium.

The vibrant celebration, in collaboration with the Bayanihan Folk Arts Foundation, and the Fiesta Folkoriada Dance Group, and organized by the institution’s Community Outreach and Extension Office along with the Supreme Student Council and other volunteers, aimed to raise funds for its various outreach projects in the future.

The lively event turned the school’s gymnasium into a dynamic showcase of talent and tradition where students, faculty, and staff gathered together to watch five (5) countries, namely — Austria, Spain, Poland, Indonesia, and South Korea donned an array of colorful costumes, representing the rich cultural tapestry of their respective cultures.

The school community even joined in after the last performers in a “Learn To Dance” portion of the show.

Beyond the captivating performances, the First Fiesta Sayawan sa MC celebrated diversity and contributed to a greater cause as the success of the event experienced an enthusiastic participation from the school community and garnered generous contributions.

All in all, the First Fiesta Sayawan sa MC stands as a testament to the school’s commitment to excellence and dedication service.

Hopefully, this event will mark the beginning of a new tradition, a rhythmic triumph that not only brings people together in joyous harmony but also extends a helping hand to those in need.
